Deer Creek Farms is located in Central Texas between Temple and Waco along I-35.

Deer Creek Farms encompasses 477 acres Northeast of Troy Texas. The horses are kept on 70 acres Split into four pastures - two at the house and two at the main facility. The quarantine facility is at the house and includes a stall with an 80x120 paddock. We offer activities such as lessons, pony parties, trail riding, camping and hiking (just to name a few). All activities are by appointment only please.

Availability
Quarantine Pen: 1 available. Reserved until Mid-January. Please call if you need a pen anytime after January 20.
Stallion Pen and Pasture: There are currently 0 spots available.

Creekside Pasture: There are currently 2 spots available.

Monthly Board Fees are as follows*:
Pasture Board: $200.00/month
Pasture with dedicated Stall/pen, or dedicated Shed/paddock: $275.00/month
*Prices are valid at time of web page update and are subject to change.
*Due to the extensive drought and lack of local hay, a hay surcharge of $30.00 per horse will be added to the bill to cover the extra expense associated with purchasing out of state hay. Surcharge will be rescinded once hay supplies and pricing return to normal.

Did you know? In Texas, all equine animals must have a negative EIA test completed within the previous 12 months for the following situations, including (but not limited to):

• Change of ownership

• Congregating with other equine animals

• Assembly or participation in events

• Boarding, entering a training stable or a pari-mutuel track

Here is a quick overeview of what is required
Quarantine is mandatory for all newly boarded horses.
A current and negative Coggins Test (EIA) is required for all horses boarded at Deer Creek Farms
Vaccinations are required annually
Horses must be kept on a proper de-worming schedule.
Farrier visits are on a regular basis
Teeth are checked and floated as needed.

"Creekside" at Deer Creek Farms!
Board your horse at the main facility set on 52 acres at Deer Creek Farms. This area is located behind the house and just across the creek. This is an excellent choice for those who want a little more activity. Pasture board is available, and stalls are offered as they come available.

Amenities at the "Creekside" facility include: Individual 20X40' paddocks with private shed (under construction) 50X100' paddocks with private shed 16' X 20' Day pens (rebuilding) Private individual tack rooms "Cross-tie" areas for tacking up horses and farrier work (rebuilding) 150' x 300' riding arena 80' x 150' multipurpose area Standard Dressage arena Introductory level Dressage arena 60 foot Round pen Well maintained pasture and grazing Shelters in the pastures Spring-fed pond Stocks for veterinary use Plenty of trees for shade A fenced parking area Designated car, truck, and trailer parking Farrier visits on a regular basis Trail Riding on our 477 acre farm Lessons on your horse
