Are Curly Horses really hypoallergenic? For most people with allergies, yes they are!
ABOUT US:
Deer Creek Farms is owned by Annise Finch, and operated by her and her husband Fred. Annise Finch has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Horse Management and Production from Tarleton State University (part of the Texas A&M system). She has knowledge in many areas of the Equine Industry including reproduction, stallion and mare management, conformation, nutrition, unsoundness, training, stable management, and farrier science (just to name a few things). Annise also has knowledge and experience with Artificial Insemination. She is acquainted with both the Colorado, and the Missouri models of AI "boots". Annise is also familiar with shipped cooled semen, and has limited knowledge right now about embryo transfer. Fred grew up in Troy, and has been involved with the family Farm, "Shiloh Land and Cattle Company" since school age. He has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Industrial Technology with a minor in Business. Fred currently owns his own Design and Drafting business, "Orbit Designs". His services include Mechanical design, drafting, documentation, and parts specifications - just to name a few.
ABOUT OUR FARM:
Deer Creek Farms, a registered Farm in Bell County Texas, is named after our property at Deer Creek due to sentimental reasons. The Farm is conveniently located on almost 500 acres of lush pastureland, cropland, and rangeland in Central Texas between Austin and Dallas along I-35. There is an abundance of tanks (for those up north - ponds), pastures, trees, and of course, rivers and Deer Creek itself.
ABOUT OUR OPERATION:
We have big plans for Deer Creek Farms. We offer Breeding services right now, and in the near future we will be offering a training and boarding facility. We chose to specialize in the calm-natured (and curly haired) North American (Bashkir) Curly breed. We found out about the hypoallergenic curlies while in college, and immediately knew that is what we wanted to breed and raise. Our goal is to have a professional, high quality breeding program based on sound breeding practices. I am a stickler for conformation and a good disposition! We emphasize quality over quantity.
ABOUT OUR HORSES:
The North American (Bashkir) Curly Horse is considered to be a hypoallergenic horse.
To learn more about our horses, please click on the pictures. Information about booking is located with each stallion on our stallion page, and on each stallion's "personal" page. Watch for offers and incentives located on our Stallion Page.
If you are interested in learning more about the North American (Bashkir) Curly, Please e-mail me; you can also check out the other curly sites I have listed. I think that you will find that the Curly people are very friendly. I feel lucky to have met them!
