Welcome to the Boarding Facility at Deer Creek Farms!

We at Deer Creek Farms are sure you and your horse are going to love boarding with us.

This page is currently under construction, and so is the boarding facility. Stay tuned for updates on the building of the facility. We may even put a scematic drawing of the facility up for you to anticipate what's coming. . . Of course we will post pictures of everything as the facility begins to take shape.

Deer Creek Farms is located Northeast of Troy, Texas, and is about a 20 minute drive from Temple, and about a 30 minute drive from Waco on I-35. Deer Creek Farms is open to the public for horse boarding, pony parties, arena use, trail riding, and a variety of other activities.

Activities offered include lessons, pony parties, trail riding, camping, and hiking by appointment. Miles of trails throughout our 475 acre ranch are perfect for hiking and camping as well as riding.

Trailer parking is available as well. We do not have hook-up utilities for campers at this time though.

Welcome to "Creekside" at Deer Creek Farms! Board your horse at our facility set off of Deer Creek Road. This area is located behind the house and just across the creek. This is an excellent choice for those who want a little more activity. Lessons will be provided at this location on a regular basis. Trail riding is available by appointment. Trailer parking can be arranged if space is available (please ask for pricing).

Amenities at the "Creekside" facility includes: A well-ventilated 8 stall barn (to be completed summer of 2008) Tack room for boarded horses Cross-tie areas for tacking up horses, and farrier work 16' X 20' Day pens A 150' X 300' riding arena Dressage arena (to be completed by fall of 2008) Round pen (to be completed by Winter of 2009) Well maintained pasture and grazing Shelter in the main pasture Spring-fed pond Stocks for veterinary use Plenty of trees for shade A fenced parking area Designated trailer parking

Our 150' X 300' riding arena is perfect for training, lessons and practice. Barrels, various jumps, a caveletti, and cones are provided to help you practice. The facility area is bordered by tree rows that offer not only protection from winds, but offer shade in the summer afternoons. Afternoon riding is a pleasure in the shade. A smaller arena is coming in the near future, as well as a round pen and dressage arena.

"The Back 40" at Deer Creek Farms! This area is set off the beaten path in a nice quiet corner of Deer Creek Farms, yet still easy to get to. Currently, our Stallion, D.C.C. Sioux Warrior is living in the "back 40" with his son, Warrior Stands Strong. They are enjoying 20 acres to themselves, and love playing in the tank. If we decide to move Warrior to a new "bachelor pad", this area will be available for pasture board only.
